Dunleer Town, Co. Louth, Republic of Ireland, is located midway between the County's two largest towns, Dundalk and Drogheda. To it's west is it's Mid-Louth neighbour, Ardee. It is located adjacent to the Dublin to Belfast M1 Motorway, and has it's own Motorway Interchange. It is served by the Dublin - Belfast Railway Line, with it's own Railway Station, although it is currently unused, efforts are ongoing to have the station reopened.

Follows old Ardee Railway Line trackbed. 8Km in length, runs from Ardee's old Railway Station and then parallel for almost it's entire length beside the National Primary Route N33 Road to Whitemills, near Charleville interchange on the M1. Easily accessable, and mostly on the level, it is suitable for use by all. Plentiful native shrubs planted, and now maturing well.
