Again, just to say a special thank you to the DCDB and their Market House team for this wonderful oppertunity. A few words on what to expect from our club...our aim now and as it always has been is to provide an informal, fun and comfortable setting for screening of classic and forgotten movies.
We like it for the club to be as interactive as possible with natural flowing discusssions and debateson all aspects of film.
Think of our club as a mini cinema for like-minded film buffs.
In the past we have held ''Themed Nights''. For example like an Italian night with a screening of the ''The Godfather accompanied with Pizza & Wine, or on another occasion when we held a Valentines Night. We sometimes also have European Cinema screenings.
Along with screenings and discussions, there may be movie quiz's, fancy dress, childrens film club, and lots more in between.
If you are familiar with our club, you may know that we like to make things a little special and everyone is made most welcome.
There are NO membership FEES.
We only ask that you consider a small donation on the night so we can keep the show running.
Light Refreshments are available on the night also.
And now a little about ourselves -
We have a small committee or team. They are Aiden King, Aiden Torris and myself Ronan Myles.
I wish to thank them for their involvement and the DCDB for the nice new premises.
JUST TO POINT OUT THAT....The Film Club are a non-profit making voluntary organisation for the community. Any donation you make is gratefully received and goes toward the running of the film night.
So thats it folks!
We hope to see you soon and dont forget your popcorn!!!!
